Naples Continental Club - Phase 1 | WOODWORKERS NAPLES

Reception Area - Naples Continental Club

Black solid walnut reception desk with contrasting white textured panel inserts and black walnut storage cupboards, by Woodworkers Naples

Naples Continental Club is a beachfront boutique condo building located on Gulfshore Boulevard North, offering outstanding views of the Gulf of Mexico from all 128 private apartments.  Only steps to the private white sandy beach and minutes to Venetian Village, downtown Naples and Waterside shops, the club boasts an idyllic position to explore the best of the area.

Phase 1 of Remodel…
Antoine Testard Designs dramatically redesigned the entire ground floor of the club, reinventing 2,800 square feet of dark and outdated space.  Small windows, poor circulation and a heavy vaulted wooden ceiling were transformed into a light and bright, elegant contemporary environment, featuring large windows, clean lines and timeless innovative design.

Lobby and reception area, managers office and meeting room were reconfigured and the original large apartment divided into two beautifully fitted guest suites for the use of condo owners and their guests.  General Contractor Morton and Wasmer Builders transformed the space, with handcrafted cabinetry throughout by Woodworkers Naples.

Aria Penthouse - Boutique Condo Remodel | WOODWORKERS NAPLES

Aria Penthouse - Master Bathroom

Magnificent master bathroom with floating walnut vanity and stone trough sink designed by Marcus Jelley, with handcrafted cabinetry by Woodworkers Naples.  The bathroom design perfectly complements the adjoining master closet and features a suspended contemporary stainless steel mirror designed by Roz Travis.

One of our recent remodeling projects is a glamorous penthouse within the luxurious boutique condo building, Aria.  Located in Naples, Florida on the prestigious Gulfshore Boulevard, Aria offers it's residents picture-perfect panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico to Venetian Bay.

The entire apartment space was cleverly reconfigured and redesigned by architect Frank Comeriato for Dyehouse Comeriato Architect, transforming the existing outdoor balcony area into a stunning light-filled interior space.  As a result, large master bedroom, bathroom and closet spaces were created.

Cabinetry and bespoke furniture designer Marcus Jelley, brought life to the new space with a contemporary european cabinetry design, reflecting and connecting consistently with the building's unique curved exterior.  The integration of elegant high glosses, sleek finishes and sophisticated clean lines feature in the master closet, master bathroom, laundry and all secondary guest bedrooms.

Custom cabinetry for the Aria project was handcrafted by our team of artisans at Woodworkers Naples, with meticulous attention to detail on finishes for a luxurious result throughout.  Once again, the project was truly a wonderful collaborative effort working alongside Dave Sturdyvin for Artisan Associates, Roz Travis Interiors and Marcus Jelley.

Aria Penthouse - Master Closet

The luxurious master closet is an enormous space connecting the master bedroom to master bathroom.  Unusually curved at a 45 degree angle, the space inspired a design featuring an expanse of curvilinear floor to ceiling cabinetry, with smoky grey high gloss hand buffed doors sweeping along one side.

To accentuate the curve, the perimeter of the doors above and below were wrapped with a 2 inch frame.  The grey smoked oak cabinetry interior features drawers handcrafted from beautifully rich solid walnut, each lined in faux ostrich skin leather.  (This luxurious drawer style is uniformly repeated throughout the entire apartment.)  Details and finishing touches to the closet include;  suitcase shelves, an upholstered ottoman by Roz Travis, overhead curvilinear LED lighting to complement the cabinetry design and a gentleman's tallboy stack of drawers.

Builder | Diamond Custom Homes,  Architect | Mark J. Leonardi,  Contemporary Cabinetry & Furniture Design | Marcus Jelley, Interior Design | Antoine Testard DesignsCabinetry Build & Install (Kitchen/Home Office/Bar/Powder Room)  | Woodworkers Naples

Throughout the summer months and into early fall, our team of skilled craftsmen and master artisans have been busy creating luxury custom cabinetry and furniture for several large-scale projects within Naples.  Current projects in progress include a contemporary barn residence, located within the beautiful country-like setting of Pine Ridge Estates and a magnificent luxury estate home in the private gated enclave of Escada Estates.

Woodworkers Naples are delighted to have been awarded the contracts for both projects and were handpicked from a shortlist of national and local luxury cabinetry companies known for their excellence.   It is also an absolute pleasure to be working closely alongside Diamond Custom Homes and luxury cabinetry designer Marcus Jelley once again.   The installations (one project featuring contemporary style furniture - the other project classical) are currently in progress.

Also in motion is a transitional style condo renovation within The Windsor at Bay Colony.  Woodworkers Naples have collaborated as a team several times with Artisan Associates, Roz Travis Interiors and Marcus Jelley, consistently delivering award-winning amazing results.

Last to feature in progress is commercial project, Delicious Raw on Pine Ridge.   Following the success of Delicious Raw's 5th avenue location (Woodworkers Naples built and installed the bar and cabinetry in 2013),  they are due to launch a second juice bar later this month.

We look forward to sharing each of these unique projects upon completion… Watch this space!

Welcome to Fall 2014 - Woodworkers Naples

Contemporary Display Cabinet handcrafted by Master Craftsman and Founder of Woodworkers Naples, Gary Fusco.

Welcome to the Fall...  The summer months were a busy and exciting time at Woodworkers Naples and the team have a lot to look forward to this coming season.  The workshop is buzzing with interesting new projects and we have chosen to showcase a beautifully handcrafted contemporary display cabinet, by master craftsman and founder of Woodworkers Naples, Gary Fusco.

The design concept by Allan Hendy Designs cleverly blends architectural form and function and was presented to us by New Haven Builders, on behalf of clients located in the elegant and luxurious Cap Ferrat, within Pelican Bay Community.

Design Concept by Allan Hendy Designs

The frame was constructed from four pieces of plain sliced Maple mitred together to hide unattractive seams/end grain and to ensure the side posts sat perfectly straight and stable, (solid wood can move!)  The frame needed to be very precise - with accuracy to a 1/32" for all the pieces to fit together...

The aluminum track supporting each glass shelf conceals a light and diffuser within, enabling light to shine through the edge of the glass on all 4 sides.  There is additional light at the top of the cabinet to shine down from above.

Gary Fusco is a highly skilled artisan with an extensive knowledge of woodworking, drawn from a lifetime of experience.  Usually immersed in engineering, preparing things to go into the shop and supporting his son, Daniel from the back office - his love of finely detailed work brought him back into the workshop to 'pick up the tools' for this particular project!  Originally founding Woodworker's Cabinet in Chicago, 1979, Gary spotted an emerging market in Southwest Florida.  The company promptly relocated to become the first luxury custom cabinet shop in Naples.

'Finely detailed and beautifully handcrafted perfection.  Our clients inspire us...  We love what we do.'

Gary Fusco

We are proud to provide elite design and craftsmanship that is built to last in our state-of-the-art workshop and a huge thanks to our amazing team for an incredible reputation locally.

Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning - Contemporary Chic - Woodworkers Naples

Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning, handcrafted by master craftsman, Francisco Henriquez for Woodworkers Naples

One of our latest commercial projects, Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning, represents a departure from your conventional dry cleaning experience.  The interior architecture, designed by award-winning JZA+D based in Princeton, New Jersey, reflects the clients' desire for an inspirational new experience using a simple palette of materials in warm wood and earth tones, framed within white curvilinear elements.  The white central reception/work space unites and separates each of the effortlessly functional elements of the project.  Two curvilinear wall features beautifully house storage areas.

The striking contemporary design was transformed to reality this Spring by master craftsman Francisco Henriquez.  Previously a leading specialist in custom handcrafted mahogany entry doors in Honduras, we are delighted Francisco brought his wealth of experience to the team at Woodworkers Naples in 2013.

The modular pieces of the project are formed from two layers of special bending ply, glued together to hold the shape.  Cherry melamine strips cut out with a CNC router (computer controlled cutting machine) create different levels of transparency, screening clothing racks, whilst still allowing views throughout the space.  To achieve a glass-like finish, the pieces were entirely skimmed with a thin polybacker, to create a luxurious, durable skin with an incredibly smooth surface prior to spraying.

Owners Tom and Lorrie Janick were wonderful to work with and remained very involved throughout the 6 week build period.  They knew exactly what they wanted from the outset and visited the workshop, discussing and guiding progress on a weekly basis.  Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning, also based in Princeton, New Jersey, unveiled their chic new outpost in Naples, FL, Spring 2014.

PRISTINE FINE DRY CLEANING is the premiere solution for all your dry cleaning needs, specializing in high end couture garments, accessories and custom machine free cleaning.   The family business has been deeply involved in the dry cleaning industry since 1956.  Owner Tom Janick has a lifetime of experience, developing products and equipment and installed the first wet-cleaning system in California, (where there are now over 75 facilities in operation!)  The beautiful new space also offers customized cleaning, special handling, a master tailoring service onsite and can restore and refurbish items; such as couture bags and purses.

It's all in the details...

Love Me, Love Me Not Table - Handcrafted by Master Artisan, CRAIG BROWN

Love Me, Love Me Not Table
8 white oak petal side tables form a full sculptural flower.  The original design by John Vogel & Justin Plunkett has been recreated at Woodworkers Naples for clients by master craftsman extraordinaire,
CRAIG BROWN.

Craig is a passionate, self-taught woodworking craftsman, with over 30 years of knowledge and experience.  As a child, he watched his father and grandfather enjoying woodworking as a hobby.  The inspiring book by James Krenov, 'A Cabinetmaker's Notebook' (1976), which explores cabinetmaking as an art, philosophy and way of life, ultimately inspired Craig to pursue cabinetmaking as his career.

In 1983, he opened a workshop in Elk Rapids, Michigan building local commercial and residential architectural woodwork, furniture and intricate floor inlays.  He also designed and built beautifully handcrafted fine wooden jewelry boxes for 20 years, which were sold at 150 prestigious art galleries globally - from London to New York, to right here in Naples!  ps.  Even Oprah herself personally purchased one of his jewelry boxes!

Craig also handcrafted elegant fly fishing accessories, such as wooden fly boxes crafted from walnut, lacewood, bubinga, cherry and African mahogany with inlays of exotic woods such as rosewoods and ebonies, to protect valuable flies.  His flawless landing nets for fly fishermen made of hickory and ash also sold internationally at over 70 locations.  His functional art and skill garnered much attention and his work was published in 'The Sporting Craftsmen', by Art Carter.  This complete guide represents the best contemporary makers of custom-built sporting equipment available.

Incredibly versatile and talented, sincere and genuine, Craig has been with Woodworkers for 4 years and is always willing to share his extensive knowledge and experience with the team.  His latest work, the Love Me, Love Me Not table, is a sculptural adaptive, elegant and playful work of art, beautifully exploring organic form.

"..extraordinary work... superb skill.'
Art Carter on the mastery of Craig Brown.
